The WaggyWorks Experience

 

Once you arrive at the salon, we will discuss your pet’s needs in detail. From this consultation I will make suggestions as to the best professional style and organic shampoo products to suit the needs of your pet which will leave their coat feeling soft and smelling clean and wonderful! The grooming session is exclusive to your dog and we are dedicated to making your pet feel relaxed and happy in a country environment.

I hold the Level 3 OCN Diploma in dog grooming, am DBS checked and fully insured with Pet business Insurance so when your dog is with me they are in good hands and for added reassurance here at WaggyWorks, I have attended canine first aid courses so your dog will be in the best hands!

The ‘Full Works’

This is a full groom, cut to any style requested. Please do ask and we can show you options if you are unsure!

  • 2 shampoos with organic top quality shampoo followed by conditioner if needed.
  • Fluff dry, more brushing and combing through
  • Full restyle
  • Coat perfume
  • Nail clipping
  • Ear cleaning and plucking

We do not do anal glands, this is a vet matter

If the coat is tangled there will be an additional charge for extra brushing. However, coats which are matted will not be brushed out and will result in a clip off in the interests of the dogs health and welfare.

Hand Stripping

Hand stripping is a complex grooming method used on wiry hair such as Border Terriers and Schnauzers and also gundog breeds. It involves removing dead guard hairs and undercoat from the coat by hand instead of clipping to keep the coat tidy and healthy.  It speeds up the natural process of growth and shedding and helps to create a rich and shiny texture. Age of the dog, whether it is neutered and if it has been clipped before all affect the ability and fair decision on keeping a dog hand stripped. 

Prices start from £50 for this service.

 

Bath, Brush & Blow Dry

Not all breeds need specific clipping and scissoring so we also offer a bath, blow-dry, nails, feet, ears and eyes service. This is also a good option if you would just like your dog to have a freshen up between coming for their full grooms.

 

   
   
   

 

Terms & Conditions

Cancellation policy

We do ask customers to call and speak to us to give at least 48 hours notice of any cancellation so we can offer someone else your private slot to another customer.

Appointments cancelled with 48hrs or missing an appointment will result in full charge before a new booking can be made.

Aggressive dogs

Dogs who are found to be aggressive or distressed during the groom may be sent home immediately at the full charge of the groom especially if we have not been made aware of any existing behavioural issues.

Flea charges

Dogs who arrive with fleas will be sent home at the full grooming cost. If fleas are found during the groom a £10 charge will be added to your bill and the dog may be sent home immediately.

Late charges

If you are late dropping off or collecting your dog a charge of £5 minimum will apply.
